Temporary closure of the play park in the Memorial Gardens
Downton Parish Council are delighted to announce that the £250,000 refurbishment of the play parks at Memorial Gardens, Charlton All Saints, and Moot Lane is underway.
From Monday 18 September 2023(8am), Vita Play Ltd will be onsite at the Memorial Gardens to start work on the play park refurbishment. The work on this play park will take approx. 3-4 week to complete, weather permitting, during which time the play park will be closed. The public toilets will remain open as usual.
During this period construction noise will be kept to a minimum – petrol driven motors will not be operated before 8am or after 5pm.
On Sunday 17 September (evening), the Parish Council will be putting out cones on the road directly in front of the Memorial Gardens. Parking on this small stretch of road is to be reserved exclusively for Vita Play Ltd vehicles during this 3-4 week period. Please therefore avoid parking your vehicle(s) on this stretch of road before then.
