The Parish Council is the first tier of Local Government, the next tier being the unitary authority of Wiltshire Council.
The Parish Council represents the villages of Downton and Charlton All Saints, and the hamlet of Standlynch.
Downton Parish Council offers community leadership with the aim of developing Downton, Charlton All Saints, and Standlynch into a vibrant community; a place where people want to live, visit, and do business in.
Our services cover everything from play parks, open spaces, footpaths, cemetery, public toilets, bus shelters, allotments, litter bins, traffic calming measures, defibrillators, Youth Projects, and so much more.
